Our Story

Many companies are acknowledging the importance to include younger people in their workforce, yet few are succeeding to positively engage with younger people, let alone ensuring that they stay within the company for an extended period of time.

It was because of the this exact reason (and others) that the Generational Engagement Index was developed. Not only to provide organisations with a current ‘rating score’ of effectiveness, but also to highlight areas that if addressed, the effectiveness of developing a healthy multigenerational work environment could increase; a key element to success of any company.

The Generational Engagement Index was developed based on multiple individual and collective research done within south and southern Africa for the last 10+ years; interviewing hundreds of young people around their personal experiences in the workplace. The study was motivated by a theory; “by identifying the common behavioral trends between generations, and creating intentional focus within the workspace to address them, a more healthier environment of collaboration will be developed”.
