Open position : Warehouse Process Officer
Location : Port Elizabeth
Salary : Market related
Type : Permanent

Purpose of the Role:
To oversee and optimize warehouse and logistics processes, ensuring efficient operations across inventory control, production planning, delivery management, warehouse layout planning, and logistics information systems. The role is responsible for maintaining data accuracy, improving operational workflows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and distribution environment.

Job requirements :
• Matric (Grade 12) – Required
• Qualification in Logistics / Supply Chain Management an advantage
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a logistics or warehouse environment
• Automotive/ Manufacturing experience will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Power Point (advanced functions, data analysis, reporting)
• Familiarity with logistics information systems and database software
• SAP experience will be advantageous.
• Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) advantageous
• Driver’s license preferred, but not mandatory
• Must have forklift license
• Hardworking and self-motivated
• Willing and able to work frequent overtime when required
• Meticulous with strong attention to detail
• Practical and solution-oriented
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills

Key duties :
Logistics Process Management
• Oversee fixed-position and location tracking within the warehouse.
• Manage batch maintenance and inventory control processes.
• Generate and manage delivery orders accurately and timeously.
• Coordinate production line planning in alignment with dispatch requirements.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure cost-effective distribution.
• Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of logistics operations.

Warehouse & Inventory Control
• Develop and maintain warehouse location planning systems.
• Ensure accurate stock allocation and system updates.
• Monitor inventory movement and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and operational standards.

Systems & Data Management
• Maintain and update logistics information system data.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of database information.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Prepare management reports and presentations using PowerPoint.
• Support improvements in system functionality and reporting processes.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor KPIs related to warehouse efficiency, delivery performance, and inventory accuracy.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Assist in implementing best practices within logistics operations
