In recent years, two of the biggest names in the rap game, Kendrick Lamar and Drake, have been engaged in a feud that has divided fans and sparked countless debates. But after years of subliminal shots and direct disses, who can truly claim victory in this feud between two of the biggest names in hip-hop? Let's take a closer look at the ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake to determine who came out on top.

The Beginning
The origins of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef can be traced back to 2013 when Kendrick released his verse on Big Sean's song "Control." In his verse, Kendrick called out several of his fellow rappers, including Drake, with lines like "I'm usually homeboys with the same n****s I'm rhymin' with / But this is hip-hop and them n****s should know what time it is." This verse was seen as a direct diss towards Drake, who responded by calling Kendrick's verse "an ambitious thought" in an interview. However, their feud remained relatively low-key for the next few years.

The Subliminal Shots
In 2016, things started to heat up between Kendrick and Drake as they both released subliminal shots towards each other in their music. In Drake's song "Summer Sixteen," he rapped "All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little / All your exes know I like my O's with a V in the middle." Many saw this as a shot at Kendrick, who hails from Compton, California (also known as "the new Toronto") and is known for using the letter "O" in his music (for his hometown, "the O"). Kendrick also fired back with subliminal shots in songs like "The Heart Part 4" and "HUMBLE." However, it wasn't until Kendrick released his album DAMN in 2017 that their feud took a more direct turn.
