In the women's race things were a little different as it was a lot closer between the top 3 women (Lauren Granger, Lisa Pringle and Nadine Van Driel).
It was a very happy Lisa Pringle who took the women's title in 02:46:31

Nothing was going to stop Kyle Bucklow as he took the Muizenberg Trail 2023 win in a record breaking time of 02:03:46. He led from the gun to the finish tape.

Kyle Bucklow was out the blocks on a mission as he climbed to the top of Muizenberg Peak in a record time. Took off 26 second from Jarryd Dunn 2022 record and raised the bar to 00:25:50 to be king of the mountain.
Lauren Granger and Lisa Pringle on each others heels all the way to the top. It was Lauren who managed to take the Queen on the mountain in 00:34:45.
The sun was up and so was the wind. Runners eager to get going to get warm. This wouldn't take long with the first climb starting within 500m from the start. Next stop Muizenberg Peak 500m up

Well done to all those that took part in the 2023 Muizenberg Trail this weekend. What magical morning it was on the mountain. We were treated to sunshine with a icy fresh south easter wind.
