Let's start with a confession. We didn't plan this showcase to show off. We planned it to show up. To show up for our clients, our industry, but most importantly, for our audiences.

Earlier this week, we hosted our Future of Events showcase at The Teatro at Montecasino. The purpose was to expose the industry to what's possible, to start conversations, and for people to share what they think the future of events is. It was an environment of open dialogue and an interest in enhancing the industry without any sales talk. A pure and honest environment of building trust between change makers.

Our first speaker was Anrico du Plessis, who showcased the possibilities of non-linear presentations, where the audience chooses what is most important to them. He focused on that "Creating Change" in our audiences is the most important thing. That "Immersive Experiences" are pointless is that we don't enable our audiences to grow and to take action.

Pierre Du Plessis, took us on a journey of discovery. The things take make us weird are the things we need to tap into and elevate. His talk was enhanced through the Multi-Media content department and L-Acoustics L-Isa system. 105 audio speakers were installed in the venue to create a surround sound experience. A first of its kind in Africa. The technology is primarily used in entertainment, and we said, but what if a keynote can make you see, feel, and hear its message?

The L-Isa system and newly acquired ROBE lighting were all controlled by Modulo Pi, all purchased from the wonderful Duncan Riley and his team, DWR Distribution. Modulo Pi allowed us to track all the audio, content, and lighting to the position of the speakers on stage.

Adam Howard, his band, and his wonderful singers introduced the audience to the surround sound capabilities of the L-Isa system and how it enhances the performance so that the music can also have an opportunity to land your message.

The attendees also had an opportunity to test our VR Pitch Experience, as we move away from renders and move into experiencing your event before you confirm the quote.

We also exposed the guests to AR capabilities as we move to elevate prints into engaging content to "Create Change" and land your message.

The Future of Events is providing your audience with Proof of Impact. Transformation. Real action, real results, and a plan.

The Future of Events is about Co-Creation. Giving your audience the power to control the show. No more will they be attendees, but they will become collaborators.

The Future of Events will be in person. As AI takes over our devices, we won't believe what we see on our screens. Seeing is believing. Trust will be created on stage.

The Future of Events will include Micro-Moments. Quick, impactful information that provides people with a plan to create change.
