Eco Timber Installations

Watch the progress of this super interesting installation. It is a fan roof being installed in Parkview. The majority of the structure is site made trusses. All timbers used are laminated saligna beam and each and every truss is a 3 ply unit, manufactured as per the engineers specification and all done on site.

This has to be one of the most complicated roofs we have ever done. It consisted of massive laminated beams that sat on mullions perfectly positioned. All fixings are invisible and had to be fixed in exactly the right position. The entire structure only worked because of the way that it was designed by Mr. Charles Willis Dixon and the way that the mullions were manufactured and installed by Estee Automation. Everything was detailed down to the last screw. Then, of course, this would not have come together the way it did without my amazing team of guys that did the installation, but especially Mr. Nsizwa Hlatshwayo, whose insight is invaluable and knowledge is out of the park!!

Here we took roof tiles off, and installed sheeting, with zero damage to the ceilings underneath and while the owner and his family remained in the house.

On this job, we were had to deal with a number of issues such as roof pitches that changed on the same section of roof, walls that stepped in that should not have, big roofs running in to small roofs and so on and so forth. However, our team took it in their stride, dealt with the issues and the results are spectacular!
