CALL FOR APPLICATIONS | GREEN ECONOMY ACCELERATOR

Innovate Durban, in partnership with Nedbank, has launched the Green Economy Accelerator, an 18-month programme supporting established green businesses in KwaZulu-Natal to strengthen their business, market and investment readiness.

The programme is aimed at enterprises with validated products that are already post-commercialisation, rather than early-stage ideas.

Who should apply?

The programme is looking for businesses that:
- Are based and operating in KwaZulu-Natal
- Have a founder/enterprise owner residing in KZN
- Have at least 1–2 employees
- Have an average annual turnover of R264,000 or more
- Operate in agriculture, energy, water or waste
- Can demonstrate social impact and commitment to completing the programme

What participants can expect

Participants will receive support in:
- People-focused leadership
- One-on-one mentorship
- Strategy development
- Finance mentorship
- Governance, compliance and legal support
- Skills development
- Market readiness
- Milestone-linked investor-readiness funding

The programme will particularly focus on previously disadvantaged individuals, women and people with disabilities.
