Too many grant programmes are designed for speed and verification rather than capability. Grants bunch at year end, with limited diagnosis and little proof of use.
The fix is not complicated: plan earlier, link grants to real business needs, avoid cash where possible, pay suppliers directly, and verify how funds were applied.
