Reading the responses to the closing of Caversham Press has been truly humbling. Thank you all. The ending of the Caversham dream has begun the process of unbundling the studio, finding suitable homes for precious pieces of equipment gathered over more than fifty years. This whilst remembering the technical challenges that each artist's image required, some more successful than others, but each leaving imprint on paper and memory. Some memories accompanied by the shadows of good intentions hovering around things left incomplete - now with the uncomfortable realization that we cannot go back. That this was a life lived.
However, all said, the most important and precious aspects were the relationships formed; the trust given and nurtured through the time spent collaborating in the realization of image and project during single or multiple visits to the Caversham studio. So your responses provide me with the understanding that the valued legacy of a life rests in the memories that others carry forward. It is with immense gratitude that I take these to heart.

The end of an Era! Equipment for sale.

It is with great sadness that we have closed The Caversham Press as a Printing Studio. However we hope that our passion for Fine Art Printmaking will live on in another studio as our Equipment find new printmakers to continue the tradition.

All of our equipment is currently for sale, including:
> Screenprinting
> Etching
> Vander Cook Proofing Press
> as well as other items

We also have a 12mt screenprinting Table and a curing oven available for Textile Printing.

With an incredible selection of 90 prints that have been produced over our 30 years, from well known prints to those little gems that have rarely been seen. These large scale screen prints are some of William's early works that were printed here at The Caversham Press in 1988 with an edition if only 13 prints.
