The Care Bear Foundation community project is a corporate & community project aimed at improving community development & corporate social responsibility.
The Care Bear Foundation community project is a sustainable project, helping with community development and support, as well as assisting companies with their Corporate Social Investment and BBBEE accreditation. As a voluntary association, we approach women in the community to make knitted Care Bears, supplying them with the materials necessary to complete the bears. In return for the completed Ca
re Bears the women are paid for their services. The Care Bears are distributed to the needy recipients, which will create a joy of their own – every child needs to own their own bear! This is something that so many children take for granted, and such a simple pleasure to give to those in need. Each bear carries a “Birth Certificate” which will include the name of the lady who created the bear. Interested in sponsoring a Care Bear? We are in constant need of sponsorship as this is how we fund the project. As the Care Bear Project is currently applying for NPO status, companies and individuals will receive S18A tax certificates, enabling them to claim the donations as tax deductible expenses. They will also receive an independent letter stating that at least 75% of the beneficiaries of their donations are black South Africans in order to help with BBBEE points for corporate donors.
