From quiet rehearsals in the corridors to the rhythm of the marimbas and the voices of our choir on stage, the Hermanus Primary School Music Eisteddfod 2026 is officially underway.

Today we celebrate courage, dedication, hard work and a love for music as our learners share their talents with confidence and pride.

KOEKVERKOPINGKOORS: Ons Graad 2-, 3- en 4-klasse het hierdie kwartaal hul koekverkopings gehou, en die tafels was behoorlik gelaai met die lekkerste soet- én soutgoed. Van kolwyntjies en doughnuts tot hartige happies, daar was iets vir elke smaak. Baie dankie aan al die ouers en leerders wat hierdie fondsinsamelingsprojek moontlik maak. Julle moeite, ondersteuning en entoesiasme maak ’n groot verskil.
Our Grade 2, 3 and 4 classes hosted their cake sales this term, with tables packed full of delicious sweet and savoury treats. From cupcakes and doughnuts to tasty snacks, there was something for everyone to enjoy! Thank you to all the parents and learners who make this fundraising project possible. Your effort, support and enthusiasm truly make a big difference.

Vandag het van ons leerders hul laaste eksamenvraestel vir die kwartaal geskryf.
Vir ons Graad 4-leerders was dit hul eerste formele eksamenreeks, en hul reaksie sê alles! Ons is ongelooflik trots op die deursettingsvermoë, harde werk en toewyding wat hulle gedurende die afgelope paar weke gewys het.

Today some of our learners wrote their final exam paper for the term.
For our Grade 4 learners, this was their first formal examination series, and their reaction says it all! We are incredibly proud of the perseverance, hard work and dedication they have shown over the past few weeks.
With the last day of the examination period remaining, the finish line is now well within sight!

100ste Dag in Graad 1 | 100th Day of Grade 1!
Vandag vier ons Graad 1-leerders hul 100ste dag by Laerskool Hermanus. In net 100 dae het hulle nuwe vriende gemaak, nuwe vaardighede aangeleer, selfvertroue opgebou en elke dag iets nuuts ontdek. Ons is trots op hoe ver hulle reeds gekom het en sien uit na alles wat nog voorlê op hul skoolreis.

Today our Grade 1 learners celebrate their 100th day at Hermanus Primary. In just 100 days they have made new friends, learned new skills, grown in confidence and discovered something new every day. We are proud of how far they have come and look forward to all the exciting milestones still ahead on their school journey.

In the Classroom | In die Klaskamer
Maandag was dit Mev Karin Austin se verjaardag, maar omdat dit gedurende die vakansiedag geval het, wou ons Graad 7 en
leerderleiers nie die geleentheid laat verbygaan sonder iets besonders nie. Vanoggend het hulle haar met 'n spesiale verrassing ingewag en haar met ballonne, glimlagte en baie waardering ontvang.
