Hosted a 60th birthday potluck yesterday. Dee baked a Victorian cake that aspired to nothing. Lovely strangers party-crashed but brought a gift. We listened to David Bowie, Tina Turner and Susan Boyle. 10/10 night.

Death Café returns to Mr. Write: a space to talk about death, life, and everything in between. Booking essential 🍰
☕️What is a Death Café?☕️
The first Death Café was hosted in Switzerland in 2004 by Bernard Crettaz, and has since spread across the world as informal gatherings over tea and cake.
At its heart, it’s an open, small-group conversation about death, guided by curiosity rather than answers.
