It’s Day!
There are three Chenins worth celebrating at : Synonym, Era & Elodie.
Synonym: Chenin Blanc is synonymous with South African wine. Delicious and moreish, with fruit sourced from the Swartland and Bot River. Their two Landscape Series Chenins come with names that are a bit more personal - Era René is named after Bernhard’s mother, and is made with fruit from Gabriëlskloof. Elodie is named after his sister, made with old vine Chenin from four vineyards in the Swartland. Different soils, different stories, all three worth opening today.
Bot River is genuinely a good Chenin country, and we have producers who prove it: Beaumont’s Hope Marguerite, Luddite’s Chenin, Villion’s Henning, to name a few. If today’s the excuse you needed to explore what this corner of the Overberg does with the variety, we think that’s a perfectly good reason.
The reserve range: a different expression of escape.
made for those who live beyond the expected.
bold in character, deliberate in every detail and shaped for moments that ask you to live (AND dream) a little bigger..
two expressions define the range, for now, but the evolution continues…

New Vintage Release | New Baby 2024 | Six Barrels
are delighted to release the 10th vintage of New Baby 💫
First bottled in 2015, this is one of the wines they most look forward to sharing each year. The 2024 vintage brings together Chenin Blanc from their 1974 vineyard, Sauvignon Blanc from a special block planted in 1983, and a small block of Colombar from a vineyard planted in 1988.
The Chenin provides structure, the Sauvignon Blanc adds an enticing perfume, and the Colombar brings freshness and nerve.
They recently revisited the 2016 vintage and found it beautifully complete and silky, with a lovely sense of harmony. The 2024 shows a touch more fruit and freshness, making it a wonderful companion to linefish and simple summer meals.
Platter’s gave it 95 points and called it “The gourmet breakfast-wine of champions” saying this “stellar Cape Blend 2024 sets the bar high…grapefruit, toast & marmalade, finishes with scrumptious pastry cream.”
Every year brings a new baby, and this tenth release is already showing all the beauty, complexity and character that have made the wine such a favourite over the years.
Available now from their cellar door and online.

The wine is always great… the journey to get it there? Not always so glamorous 🍷🌧️
Behind the scenes at Anysbos: mud, rain, stress, and a fair amount of disaster management. Farming truly isn’t for the faint-hearted!

The Kin | 5th Edition | Autumn 2026
The oaks are shedding, vineyards turning gold, and after every good rain, the team at Beaumont head out in search of elusive “cep” mushrooms hidden across the farm. Out in the vineyards, cover crops are in — oats, radishes, vetch, peas, and mustard — working below the surface to restore and protect the soil for seasons to come.
Between the vineyard and cellar, they’ve been quietly setting aside wines that felt worth sharing — and this release is a special one. For the first time: a Mourvèdre Grenache 2024. A blend that immediately stood out and demanded to be bottled.
Kin has become the home for these moments — small, once-off releases that capture a time, a place, a feeling.
They’re excited to share the 5th edition of their Kin Wine Offer, featuring a selection of new and limited wines available to their tribe:
Kin Mourvèdre Grenache 2024 | 2 bottles
New Baby 2024 - pre-release | 2 bottles
Goutte D’Or 2025 - pre-release | 2 bottles
If you’re already part of Kin, thank you. If not, you’re warmly invited to join them on the journey. Contact for more info on how to join.

The harvest 2026 is in. The vineyards are now quiet, but the cellar isn’t.
This is where the real waiting begins — tanks settling, decisions being made, the vintage slowly finding its shape. Heavy rains made this one a challenge, but Peter-Allan, Anmar and the team are watching it closely and are feeling good about what’s coming.
More to follow as the cellar does its work.
