CCG Electrical is nearing completion on a solar system optimization project for a client in Hermanus.
Scope of work completed to date:
- Installation of two additional 5kW lithium batteries, increasing total battery capacity to 20kWh for extended backup and improved load-shedding resilience.
- Installation of two busbar enclosures with batteries correctly wired for balanced load distribution and safety.
- Installation of new DC fuse disconnectors to meet SANS requirements for DC protection.
- Addition of PV modules to increase solar harvest and reduce grid dependence.
- Installation of a new PV combiner distribution board, including all required switchgear, surge protection, and overcurrent protection as per SANS standards.
The system is undergoing final testing and commissioning. Our focus remains on compliance, safety, and maximizing performance from existing infrastructure.
