On the 26th of October 2012, we started the 1st 52 Week Challenge at The Photo and Film Expo in JHB.
Thats 587 weeks / 587 themes and 4110 days that our small team have looked at the challengers photographic submissions.
We have two 'take homes' from this journey:
1) We achieved what we hoped and that was to encourage enthusiastic photographers to 'think before they shoot'.
2) The wonderful friendships that have been made.
We want to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of our hearts. To your families too, we heard many fun stories about what they have been through, in order for you to get 'the shot'.
To Erika and Jeanne, thank you for being such amazing backs ups and for all of your dedication to the challenges over the past 11 years. Thank you for recording every single submission. You ladies are amazing, and it's been a privilege to work with you. Thank to our families too for backing us up.

🐋 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬: (July to November only)
👉🏻 5 days / 4 nights / 53km. During peak whale season, you will have incredible encounters with whales while staying at beautiful locations in the accommodation of your choice. This is a new route that starts just 30km South of The Whale Trail, and totally worth it.
🍃 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐩: (All year)
👉🏻 3 days/ 2 nights / 21 km. Experience the best of Hermanus on foot with a beach walk, a mountain meander and a day on the town! Here we show you parts of Hermanus that are off the main tourist route and you will be blown away!
