When feed use is recorded alongside growth and survival, patterns begin to emerge that are easy to miss in day-to-day operations. Over time, these small observations build a clearer picture of how a system is really performing.
We have explored this in more depth on the ACMS blog, drawing on practical examples from farm contexts. These fundamentals are also covered in our InDepth Basics of Aquaculture Management Course.

ACMS recently spent a week training De Heus East Africa sales representatives in the second of a three-part workshop series.
The goal is to equip their team to better support and mentor farmers by strengthening their understanding of on-farm practices, the importance of production data, and how to turn that data into meaningful insights and accurate production forecasts.
Workshop 2 focused on analytics and forecasting, demonstrating how powerful good data can be in assessing current performance and predicting future production with confidence.
A big thank you to De Heus for their hospitality and for the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the East African aquaculture sector.
