I was born in Zambia and one of my earliest memories was of the chitenge that the traditional women used to wear. The spirited colours and essence of the fabric as well as the innovative styles that they exhibited with such pride, instilled in me a tangible passion for artistry. I have been fortunate to travel to many places and it has been the vibrant colours of the Masai Mara the minimalist Euro
pean approach and eclectic Bali Twist that have all inspired me. I soon realised that I had to use my innate imagination to create an alluring environment that would bring life, charm and elegance to homes
My hometown of Hermanus influences my creativity in its vast diverseness. The ever changing hues and movement of the sea and the Indigenous fynbos in the mountains all get my creative juices flowing and inspire me to use different textures and colour in my interiors. Just as a Queen Protea naturally draws your eye, I too enjoy introducing focal points. A bespoke fireplace or colour on walls that flow into each other to relax your soul and invigorate your spirit. Opulent wallpapers. Water features with cascading mosaics and mossy urns that announce tranquillity. Not forgetting those sentimental treasures that are always of immense significance and consideration. As a light-hearted type of guy, I always think that it is fun to include an element of frivolity. One of the ways to do this is by converting your bathroom into a wet room with strong jets of water and multicoloured lights
