A Milestone for Graaff-Reinet!!!
Graaff-Reinet has reached an important milestone with the official chartering of the Lions Club of Graaff-Reinet, ushering in a new chapter of community service and leadership in the town.
On Saturday, 13 June, members, supporters and invited guests gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion and witness the official induction of the club's founding members. The ceremony marked not only the establishment of a new Lions Club, but also a shared commitment to serving the community and creating lasting positive change.
The successful chartering of the club is a testament to the dedication and perseverance of its founding members, as well as the support received from the broader Lions family. Their collective efforts have transformed a vision into a reality, laying the foundation for a strong and active service organisation in Graaff-Reinet.
The Lions Club of Graaff-Reinet extends its sincere gratitude to all its members, as well as District Governor Avril Hobbs, Lion Heather Hingle and Lion Sanet Emmerick, for their guidance, encouragement and unwavering support throughout the chartering process.
As the club begins its journey, members look forward to making a meaningful difference in the community and embracing the enduring Lions motto: "We Serve."
Those wanting to join the Lions Club, the official forms are available at Graaff-Reinet Tourism Office.
