The GWM P-Series continues to gain momentum in South Africa’s highly competitive bakkie market, climbing to 4th place among the country’s best-selling bakkies in April 2026, its highest ranking to date.
After securing 5th place in March with 785 units sold, the improved ranking reflects growing demand and increasing market confidence in the GWM P-Series. Since launching in 2020, the range has continued to evolve through advanced technology, strong capability, premium features, and exceptional value for money.
A major milestone for the brand came when the GWM P500 HEV Ultra Luxury 4x4 9AT was named South African Bakkie of the Year 2024, reinforcing GWM’s ability to compete at the top end of the segment.
Globally, GWM is also continuing to invest in the future of the P-Series, recently showcasing a plug-in hybrid P300 at the Beijing Auto Show, highlighting the brand’s focus on innovation and future-ready mobility.
