Sometimes being kind costs more than people realize.

You give your heart, your time, your energy… and instead of appreciation, you get taken for granted. It hurts when you treat people with love and respect, but they don’t do the same for you.

I’m learning the hard way that not everyone deserves your kindness. Some people see it as weakness, not strength.

But I won’t stop being a good person — I’ll just be more careful about who gets that side of me.

Being kind shouldn’t hurt… but sometimes, it really does.
