Winter Warmer Project: Care in Action

As the winter chill sets in, we are reminded of the strength of community and the power of compassion. Through our Winter Warmer Project, retired freezer suits from our operations have been given a second life — transformed into garments of warmth and hope. While no longer suitable for cold store use, these suits were repurposed with care by talented seamstresses from the disabled community. Their skill not only restored the garments but also created meaningful work and empowerment opportunities.

The refurbished suits are now being donated through The Robin Hood Foundation's Mahala Market, reaching families and individuals who need them most. This project represents much more than the donation of clothing. By extending the life of these garments, supporting local seamstresses, and helping vulnerable members of our community stay warm this winter, we have created a chain of positive impact that reaches far beyond our business. As these garments find new homes this winter, we hope they serve as a reminder that even items that have outlived their original purpose can continue to bring comfort, dignity, and warmth to others 💙
