One major physical limitation of 3d printing is the time it takes to fabricate parts. The parts are being built by adding (droplets) of plastic in small layer heights eg 0.15mm in the z axis. This is the reason why a small 3d printed part might seem expensive at first sight. There are times when you can use other methods of manufacturing that are quicker for mass production like a cnc router.
If you want mass production of replicas the 3d printing way you need to 3d print a design of a reverse mold then create a silicon mold using the 3d printed reverse mold then cast multiple versions of the final part from the silicon mold.
