Selected by Durban Fashion Fair, nine up-and-coming fashion designers have worked their way through the Durban Fashion Fair Mentorship Programme learning the ins-and-outs of the professional fashion world as they launch and build their own labels.
Using the Hollywoodbets Durban July theme as a starting point, each designer will design and create a signature raceday look which will be featured in a series of photo shoots and preview showings, culminating in a fashion showcase on the Pulse Stage on race day.
Besides an invaluable introduction to the industry, each DFF Rising Star also receives a share of R 250,000 in business development grants from Hollywood Foundation.
Hollywoodbets Durban July is excited to be a part of catapulting Durban’s hottest up-and-coming fashion designers onto centre stage.
