As we all know, the SASSA Social Relief Grant Application process will be opening on Friday 6 August 2021.

Not everyone has a smartphone or access to the internet. If you have have a smartphone please put yourself out there, and help those who are in need, especially the elderly.

We've come to find that applying for the grant via WhatsApp is the easiest and quickest process.

We've added a screenshot taken from WhatsApp as a reference. Once you start the application proces, you'll be asked; 'are you completing the process for YOURSELF or for SOMEONE ELSE'. You will select SOMEONE ELSE, and you'll be asked to enter his/her details. Make sure that whomever you going to be assisting has all of the required information.

During the previous round of the SASSA Social Relief Grant, the Post Office experienced high volumes of people coming to collect their R350's. Therefore, whomever you're going to be assisting if they have a BANK ACCOUNT, or a SASSA CARD their monies can be paid directly into their accounts. No more having to stand in a queue.

If we could all help the elderly, start where you stay going to the those nearest to you, your Smartphone will be their lifeline.

As we all know, there are people whom will be using this as an opportunity to commit fraud. Therefore, it's important that you reassure the them that you are there to help.

Complete the application process in his/her presence, explaining each step as it happens. This will put him/her at ease and proving you to be trustworthy.

Put yourself out there and help those who are not in a position to help themselves. It takes less than 10 minutes to apply.

My name is Ayanda Mc Donald Kauma, and I'm the Founder and CEO of AMK Solutions.

Just like everybody else, I also have a story, and just like any story, mine also has a beginning and an end. The beginning of my story was out of my control, and as I progressed through the stages of life, poverty led me to believe that my story can't be changed. It started in poverty, it'll end in poverty.

The lack was far greater than just a plate of food, I lacked food for thought. My mindset was conformed to poverty. My thinking was poor, I thought little of myself and didn't believe that I deserve THE BEST, didn't think that I can BE THE BEST. Second hand hand-me downs were good enough.

My low self esteem, and the little confidence I had in myself needed a boost, and that's when I started using and abusing mind altering substances.
I didn't know who I was, my identity buried so deep, I forced myself to forget any trigger (sobriety) that may cause it to resurface. Living a life of pretence was all I knew.

During that time, I fought many internal battles, my IDENTITY, my true self, unraveling through the thick layers of pretence. Breaking forth like a seed that' has been germinating. The layers of pretence, formed fertile soil.

The happenings of this life that I lived, instead of burying my IDENTITY, it slowly brought it to the surface. I started remembering childhood me, who grew up in poverty, yet still had DREAMS. Dreams that I dreamt before I even knew the meaning of poverty. I allowed the circumstances of poverty to bury my dreams. Buried dreams; dead man walking.

And that's when I knew my life, my story of how it will end is in my hands. My life story should not be dictated by external factors rather, it must be controlled internally. Internal control can't operate at it's optimal, when the mind has been enslaved by poverty.

In order to free myself, I needed a renewal of mind, and the restructuring of thinking patterns. I realized that my thought processes were built on sinking sand. The foundation of who was was not strong enough to hold who I'm becoming.

At this very moment, I'm still becoming, I'm writing my own story.

The Township and Rural Entrepreneurship Programme, founded in 2020, has been allocated a new budget of R694 million.
Most of this money will go directly towards financial assistance for some 24,000 enterprises.
Motor mechanics, panel beaters, and auto fitment centres have received the biggest share of the fund.
