We recently completed on-site commissioning and training on the latest Trimble survey equipment acquired by the Zimbabwe Ministry of Mines and Mining Development.

This investment in advanced geospatial technology forms part of a significant national initiative aimed at strengthening the country's mining and surveying capabilities. We were also honoured to be interviewed by ZBC, highlighting the importance of this project and its impact on the future of mining in Zimbabwe.

Accompanying our Trimble guests on an insightful field trip to the Sibanye-Stillwater Simulacrum Mining Facility - a state-of-the-art mock mine hosted by The University of Johannesburg (UJ) at their Doornfontein Campus.

The facility replicates realistic underground mining conditions to help students and researchers bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical, production-ready skills.

The event provided an excellent platform to showcase our advanced security drone solutions and demonstrate how they seamlessly integrate with existing security technologies to enhance situational awareness, response times and operational efficiency.

Spanning 110,000 mยฒ across nine exhibition halls, the event brought together more than 1,200 exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements in UAVs, eVTOL aircraft, AI-powered robotics, autonomous vehicles and unmanned systems.

One of the highlights was the presence of around 10 vendors demonstrating manned drones - offering a glimpse into a future where personal aerial mobility could become a reality. While the technology is advancing rapidly, widespread adoption will depend on regulatory frameworks evolving alongside innovation, including readiness from authorities such as the South African Civil Aviation Authority.

The pace of innovation on display was remarkable, reinforcing how quickly autonomous and intelligent technologies are transforming industries around the world.
