CELEBRATING 70 YEARS OF THE FREEDOM CHARTER. The Freedom Charter was approved on June 26, 1955, at the Congress of the People in Kliptown, Johannesburg. This event brought together 3,000 delegates and was a culmination of a campaign where people from all walks of life and all political parties shared their vision for a democratic South Africa. The Freedom Charter outlined key principles such as equality, social justice, and the redistribution of land, reflecting the aspirations of a diverse population that still hold true today 🇿🇦🇿🇦
