PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Tzaneen 2ML Reservoir
Reliable water infrastructure starts with careful planning and disciplined construction.
Work is progressing well on our 2ML reservoir in Tzaneen, where another critical piece of municipal infrastructure is steadily taking shape. Projects like these quietly strengthen communities by increasing storage capacity and supporting dependable water supply for years to come.

Every successful infrastructure project is built on more than concrete and engineering.
It is built on experience, collaboration and a commitment to delivering infrastructure that will serve communities for decades to come.
Over the past seven years, Corestruc has continued to refine its precast post-tensioned reservoir system through projects delivered across South Africa. Each reservoir has provided valuable insights that have strengthened our engineering, enhanced our construction methodology and reinforced our focus on quality.
That continual evolution allows us to deliver solutions that are efficient to construct, engineered for long-term performance and designed to meet the unique requirements of every project.
Every reservoir we complete is another step forward in helping municipalities build resilient water infrastructure for the future.

Every successful reservoir project starts long before construction begins.
By the time the first precast element arrives on site, months of engineering, design coordination, manufacturing planning and construction sequencing have already taken place.
At CorestrucCorestruc, those activities are managed as one coordinated delivery process, allowing engineering, manufacturing and installation teams to resolve practical challenges before construction starts.
That approach helps create greater certainty during construction and contributes to the shorter programmes our reservoir system is known for.
Good project delivery is built on the work that's done long before construction begins.

Reliable water starts long before it reaches a community.
It starts with infrastructure that is designed, built and commissioned to perform for decades.
Since 2019, Corestruc's precast post-tensioned reservoir system has helped deliver approximately 600 ML of water storage capacity across South Africa. Every completed reservoir adds to the experience behind the next one, strengthening the way we continue to deliver water infrastructure for municipalities across the country.
Sharing proven solutions is just as important as talking about the challenges facing the water sector.
Because every completed reservoir represents something far bigger than concrete and steel.
It represents reliable water for the communities it serves.

Every completed reservoir has its own story.
For Corestruc, Bundu will always be an important one.
It followed our first precast post-tensioned reservoir at KwaMhlanga and helped shape the construction methodology we continue to use today.
Projects like these are more than engineering milestones. They become part of the experience that strengthens every reservoir we build afterwards.

Every water project starts with a design. The real measure of success is when that infrastructure is completed, commissioned and supplying water to the communities it was built to serve.
Corestruc has delivered approximately 600 ML of water storage capacity across South Africa using its precast post-tensioned reservoir system.
Over the past seven years, the system has been refined across projects in municipalities throughout the country, helping clients reduce construction programmes while delivering reservoirs designed for long-term performance.
Every completed project adds to the experience we take into the next one.

What does it take to redefine water infrastructure in Africa?
The 2.5 megalitre Edelweiss Water Tower is not only a water storage facility, but also a landmark achievement in engineering innovation, precision construction, and infrastructure delivery.
Recognised with the 2025 Fulton Award for Infrastructure Projects up to R100 Million, this project represents a significant milestone in the advancement of precast concrete technology on the continent.
Designed and constructed by Corestruc's specialist team, the tower incorporates innovative engineering solutions, including internal pipework systems and a precast concrete access staircase housed within the central shaft. The result is a highly efficient, durable, and visually striking structure that combines functionality with engineering excellence.
As one of the first projects of its kind in Africa, the Edelweiss Water Tower demonstrates how advanced precast construction methodologies can deliver complex infrastructure with exceptional quality, reduced construction timelines, and long-term operational performance.
Water infrastructure plays a critical role in supporting growing communities, industries, and municipalities. Projects such as this showcase how innovative construction techniques can help meet these demands while setting new benchmarks for the future of infrastructure development.
At Corestruc, we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible through engineered precast structures designed for high-performance builds.

Engineered Precast Structures for High-Performance Builds.
What if major infrastructure projects could be built the same way you build with Lego® blocks?
Manufactured off-site. Delivered to site. Installed with precision.
Precast concrete has been changing the way the world builds for centuries. From ancient civilisations that understood the value of modular construction to today's engineers delivering complex infrastructure at unprecedented speed, the principle remains the same: manufacture first, assemble later.
In this video, they explore the world of precast concrete construction and how it is transforming the delivery of infrastructure across South Africa and beyond.
Discover how precast elements are engineered, manufactured, transported and assembled to create structures that are not only durable and cost-effective, but capable of significantly reducing construction programmes when compared to conventional construction methods.
The video also features one of Africa's most innovative water infrastructure projects, a precast concrete water tower delivered by Corestruc. Through interviews with the project team, they explored the engineering challenges, manufacturing processes, logistics coordination and collaboration required to bring a first-of-its-kind structure to life.
From water reservoirs and water towers to bridges, stadia and commercial developments, precast concrete continues to play a critical role in modern construction.
In this video you'll discover:
• What precast concrete is and how it works
• The history of modular concrete construction
• How precast elements are manufactured in controlled environments
• The advantages of precast versus conventional construction
• Why precast is becoming increasingly important for infrastructure delivery
• Insights from a landmark South African water infrastructure project
• The role of planning, engineering and collaboration in successful project delivery
At Corestruc, we believe successful construction starts long before the first crane arrives on site. It begins with engineering, manufacturing, planning and precision.
