Our children grow up surrounded by different languages, cultures, stories and ways of seeing the world—and that diversity is something worth celebrating.

Tests, trial exams, revision, expectations…and that little voice reminding you that finals are getting closer.

My advice? Don't try to swallow Grade 12 whole.

Break the work into manageable pieces. Identify what you don't understand. Practise retrieving information instead of simply rereading it. And ask for help before you're completely overwhelmed.

One subject. One section. One step at a time.

As children get older, the work gets harder—but sometimes nobody has actually taught them how to learn.

With older primary and high-school learners, I want to help develop strategies they can actually use independently.

My goal isn't simply to get your child through today's homework. It's to equip them for tomorrow's learning too.

With my younger learners in Grades R–3, I focus on the foundations that everything else will eventually stand on.

Reading, spelling, alphabet knowledge, comprehension, numeracy, and understanding how to work with information.

And yes, sometimes the best learning tool isn't a worksheet at all. 😉

Spring always reminds me that children don't all grow at the same pace—or in quite the same way.

I work with learners from Grade R right through to Grade 12, and one of the things I love most is finding the approach that makes learning finally click for that particular child.

Sometimes we need pencils and paper. Sometimes we need objects, movement, pictures, repetition, and a completely different explanation.

That's the beauty of learning. 🌱
