At approximately 15:00, the CERT-Sa : VAAL crew responded to a motorcycle accident in Vanderbijlpark.

Upon arrival, crews found that the rider had fortunately sustained only minor injuries during the incident.

The patient was assessed on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital by ER24 for further medical evaluation and treatment.

We would like to thank ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd. for their assistance and cooperation on scene.

Safety Tip:
Motorcyclists are reminded to remain vigilant at all times and ensure that they are clearly visible to other road users. Motorists should regularly check their mirrors and blind spots for motorcycles, especially when changing lanes or turning. Road safety remains a shared responsibility between all road users.

CERT VAAL | MEYERTON CENTRAL

At approximately 19:00, the CERT-Sa : VAAL crew responded to a medical emergency in Meyerton Central involving a patient experiencing a diabetic complication.

Upon arrival, the patient was assessed and found to be in a condition requiring urgent medical intervention. The patient was stabilised on scene by our crew before being transported to hospital by ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd. for further treatment.

We would like to thank ER24 for their assistance and cooperation on scene.

Safety Tip:
Diabetic emergencies can develop quickly and may become life-threatening if not treated promptly. Individuals living with diabetes are encouraged to take their medication as prescribed, maintain regular meals, and monitor blood sugar levels where possible. Family members and caregivers should familiarise themselves with early warning signs such as confusion, sweating, dizziness, or weakness, and seek immediate medical assistance if symptoms arise.

CERT CENTURION | IRENE

On Thursday afternoon at approximately 14h50, our Centurion crew responded to a serious motorcycle collision on Main Road in Irene, Centurion.

A motorcycle and a heavy motor vehicle were involved in a head-on collision. Tragically, the motorcycle rider sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage and are currently under investigation by the South African Police Service.

We extend our sincere condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time.

We would like to thank all emergency services and supporting agencies for their assistance on the scene, including Emer-G-Med (Pty) Ltd, Netcare911, ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd., Emergency Medical Solutions, CrisisOnCall, Secmed, PRSS Holdings, Monitor Net, Fidelity ADT, South African Police Service, Tshwane Emergency Services Department, Tshwane Metro Police Department, Pretoria Volunteer Emergency Services, EBS Security, First Help Towing, Precision Towing, EMS Chaplaincy Page, and all other role players who contributed to the incident response.

The road was closed for an extended period while emergency personnel attended to the scene and investigators conducted their work.

CERT CENTURION | ROOIHUISKRAAL

On Monday evening at approximately 19:25, our Centurion crew responded to a motorcycle collision on Old Johannesburg Road near Uitsig Road in Rooihuiskraal, Centurion.

A male in his twenties sustained moderate injuries after colliding with a pedestrian while riding his delivery motorcycle.

Our crew assessed and stabilised the patient on scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition for further medical treatment.

Miraculously, the pedestrian sustained only minor injuries and did not require hospitalisation.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage.

We would like to thank Pretoria Volunteer Emergency Services, Rooihuiskraal / The Reeds CPF - Wierdabrug Sector 2, Scorpion Risk Services, PRSS Holdings, Fidelity ADT, and Emergency Medical Solutions for their assistance and cooperation on scene.

CERT CENTURION | CENTURION

On Wednesday morning at approximately 07h00, our Centurion crew responded to a mass casualty incident at the intersection of South Street and Heuwel Street in the Centurion CBD.

Two minibus taxis were involved in a collision, resulting in both vehicles overturning. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage and are subject to further investigation.

A total of 16 patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Multiple emergency services worked together to assess, treat, and transport the injured patients to various hospitals for further medical care.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to PRSS Holdings, ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd., Emergency Medical Solutions, Funcure, Ras911, the Tshwane Emergency Services Department, Tshwane Metro Police Department, First Help Towing, Precision Towing, and all other emergency personnel who assisted on scene. The coordinated response and teamwork displayed by all role players ensured that patients received prompt and professional care during this large-scale incident.

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 17h21, our Centurion crew responded to an incident at a local shopping centre in Olievenhoutbosch where a vehicle lost control, striking two pedestrians before colliding with a parked vehicle.

Three patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. All patients were assessed and treated on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital in stable conditions for further medical care.

We would like to thank Vision Tactical, ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd., Olievenhoutbosch CPF, and Gauteng Emergency Medical Services for their assistance and excellent teamwork on scene. Their support helped ensure that all patients received prompt and professional care.

CERT VAAL | OLD SICELO INFORMAL SETTLEMENT

🚨 Appreciation Post 🚨

Yesterday evening, our Vaal response crew was dispatched to a medical emergency in the Old Sicelo Informal Settlement.

While en route to the scene, our crew met up with an Armed Reaction Officer from Sekuriteit Sonder Grense (SSG), who safely escorted our team to the patient's location.

The reaction officer remained on scene alongside our paramedics, providing valuable support and ensuring the safety of our crew until an ambulance from Gauteng Emergency Medical Services arrived to continue patient care.

The patient was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital in a serious but stable condition.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Sekuriteit Sonder Grense (SSG) and their dedicated team for their professionalism, assistance, and commitment to community safety. Partnerships such as these play a vital role in ensuring that emergency responders can continue serving communities safely and effectively.
