The Boss Forge uses a 12X PE fibre construction with an additional monofilament polymer core, designed to improve durability, casting performance and overall handling while keeping the braid supple.

Steve's take:

Excellent casting potential
The smooth, supple construction helps reduce friction, making it well suited to long surf rods where casting distance matters.

Excellent strength-to-diameter ratio
At 50lb / 22.6kg and 0.27mm, the Forge offers plenty of pulling power without going unnecessarily thick. For surf fishing, Steve feels 50lb provides a great all-round balance.

Good abrasion resistance
The dense 12X construction and additional polymer core are designed to provide added durability when fishing around rocks, structure and other abrasive areas.
