Meet Maximus: Physio Patient, Professional Chatterbox & Full-Time Office Distraction 💛
Maximus is an Australian Shepherd who comes to us for physiotherapy to help him move more comfortably, feel better and live his best life while managing his hip dysplasia. But apparently, physiotherapy sessions are also the perfect opportunity to catch up on the latest gossip… because Maximus has A LOT to say!
He sings. He whines. He chatters. He provides a running commentary from start to finish. Honestly, we're not entirely sure if we're treating his hips or hosting his weekly podcast.
And when he's not serenading us, he's busy chattering to Mom while she works from home. Because what every productive home office needs is a very enthusiastic coworker who has absolutely no concept of a 'quiet work environment'.
After all that talking, Maximus obviously needs a little snack break. Enter the gourmet peanut butter licky mat, topped with a sprinkle of fruit because this boy has standards.
And when he's not busy being the most vocal member of the household, Maximus has an important job at home: herding his blind brother and making sure everyone stays exactly where they are supposed to be.
Maximus is sweet and chatty, fluffy and friendly, a loving brother and a dedicated coworker.
Keep singing, Maximus! We'll keep working on those hips!

SO WHAT’S UP WITH JIMOTHY?
We're pretty sure you've seen this charismatic little character popping up all over the internet lately… but who exactly IS Jimothy? 🤔
Jimothy is a wild raccoon from Seattle, who shot to internet fame after a video of his very unique shape went viral. Since then, he's become a certified social media celebrity, with fans, memes, merchandise and more.
We suspect Jimothy has a rare condition called Short Spine Syndrome, but local wildlife experts say that, despite living with this condition, he appears to be healthy and active.
One thing's for sure: Jimothy is proof that the people of the internet continue to be inspired and amazed by the weird and wonderful, and we think that's very cool.
Long live the legend. Praise Jimothy! 🙌
A Day in the Life of Dubz: Certified Big Boy Edition 🐾
Meet Dubz. Certified Big Boy. Professional snack enthusiast. Part-time singer. Full-time heart-stealer.
Dubz is with us while he heals after a partial paw amputation following an injury, and naturally, his day at PAWS is packed with very important business.
Custom brace fitting? Very important.
Singing the songs of his people? Very loud.
Sun-soaked massage? Absolutely essential.
Snacks for a photo op? Non-negotiable.
A short walk? A gentleman must stretch his legs.
And finally, after a day of hard work and rehabilitation, Dubz had one last important task… headbutting the social media manager. 😂
Just a little reminder from our resident gentle giant that behind every big dog is an even bigger personality! We’re so happy to be part of Dubz’s healing journey and can’t wait to watch this big boy continue to find his feet.

🐾 Breed Spotlight: The German Shepherd 🐾
Loyal, intelligent, courageous, and always ready for an adventure!
Originally developed in Germany in the late 19th century as a working and herding breed, German Shepherds quickly became known for their versatility and incredible trainability. Today, they're loved around the world as family companions, working dogs, service dogs, and so much more!
Fun fact: Did you know that one of the most famous German Shepherds in history was Rin Tin Tin? Rescued from a World War I battlefield, he went on to become a Hollywood star and helped popularise the breed internationally!
German Shepherds can unfortunately be prone to hip dysplasia, but there are ways to help support their mobility and quality of life. Veterinary physiotherapy can help strengthen and maintain the muscles surrounding the hips, improve overall strength and stability, support joint mobility, and help dogs move more comfortably.

Meet Zoey, our very own Golden Girl! This spritely senior Dachshund is here at PAWS to help keep her mobile, comfortable and feeling fabulous in her golden years. But don’t let her age fool you, Zoey firmly believes you’re only as old as you feel!
When she’s not enjoying her physio, you’ll find her hunting lizards in the garden, cuddling with her Grandad, enthusiastically bunny-hopping for dinner, or reminding everyone that she is, in fact, still a very capable hunter (she recently caught a bird!).
She may be a golden oldie, but Zoey’s zest for life is anything but old-fashioned!
