Optimi is looking for passionate, qualified FET Educators to join our College SA learning centres across South Africa. If you've got the experience and the drive to make a real difference in learners' lives, we want to hear from you.

What you'll need:

• BEd or PGCE in a relevant subject
• Current SACE registration
• Minimum 5 years' FET teaching experience (3+ years at Grade 12 level)
• Strong CAPS knowledge
• Own transport and willingness to travel
• Computer literacy and a clear criminal record

The setup:
• 2 days a week, 2-3 weeks per month
• 8am-4pm
• Compensated hourly

We have opportunities in multiple provinces, covering subjects like English, Mathematics Literacy, Geography, Business Studies, History, Afrikaans and IsiZulu.

This Mandela Day, the Optimi CFO team rolled up our sleeves at Nehemia Primary School. Together, we refurbished 67 learner desks, planted seedlings in the school's garden, and spent the day giving back as a team.

One of the most meaningful moments was having our families join us. Seeing our children work alongside us was a reminder that kindness, service and community are values best learned by example.​

From working side by side to sharing a homemade lunch, the day reminded us that even small acts of service can create a lasting impact.​

Mandela Day is a reminder that small acts, done together, create real impact.

On Monday, 13 July, employees from across Optimi Schooling came together for our Mandela Day initiative. In just 67 minutes, our team prepared 475 fresh sandwiches, using 9kg of chicken, 12.5kg of ham, 240 cheese slices, 60 loaves of bread, and more.

Every pre-school, primary, and high school learner at Nokuphila School received a wholesome sandwich and a piece of fruit during their school break that day. Stationery supplies and a financial donation were also delivered to the school.

The appreciation we received in return reminded us why we do this. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and hands to make this happen.
