Wed 7 December 2022:
Eskom, which escalated load shedding to stage 4 on Wednesday morning, appears to be losing control of its generation fleet, warning suddenly, at 11.30am, that from midday the cuts will be ramped up to stage 6.

“Stage-6 load shedding will be implemented from 12pm until further notice,” it said in a brief statement on Twitter.

“This is due to a high number of breakdowns since midnight, as well as the requirement to strictly preserve the remaining emergency generation reserves,” it said.

DID YOU KNOW?
The Power Caddy Max can be connected to the DB board for automatic switch over and power supply when the power goes out!

It is connected to the lights and ONE designated plug breaker switch (trip switch) in the DB board.

In other words only the lights and appliances plugged into the designated plug will have power during loadshedding.

Head Office has arranged for electricians to be available in the Pretoria / Johannesburg area this weekend to do the conversions, should any of our clients need that service. The total cost of the installation is in the region of R4 500, and is done by qualified electricians.
