Every journey starts with a pair of shoes.
Unitrans recently sponsored 500 pairs of school shoes as part of the Toughees 1 Million Pairs of Hope campaign on Jacaranda FM. For 500 children, that's one less worry standing between them and their education.
We're proud to be part of a campaign that puts children's needs first. The journey through school shapes everything that comes after. Every child deserves to take that journey without distraction.
If you or your business can help reach one million pairs, find out more here: https://toughees.co.za/pages/1-million-pairs-of-hope

Breakdowns don't always happen at a convenient time. Muhammad Shudley Adams knows that better than most. As a Workshop Breakdown Controller, he's regularly the person on the other end of the call at 2am, working through a difficult situation.
Muhammad 's learned to find the solution within the pressure. His belief that every hardship is followed by relief keeps him steady when a shift gets hard.
Away from the pressure, what he values most about Unitrans is the people. The variety of cultures and the diversity within the organisation are something Muhammad genuinely appreciates. His advice to anyone starting out is to set short-term goals and stay in position no matter the condition.

In a high-risk industry, it's easy to focus on major incidents. Everyday hazards, a wet floor, a skipped procedure, a moment of distraction in a familiar space, can be just as serious, and they're often easier to miss.
Procedures followed under pressure, hazards flagged before they become incidents, these are what keep people safe and going home at the end of a shift. Awareness without action doesn't protect anyone.
Safety is everyone's responsibility, not only the people with safety in their job title.

Poultry logistics runs on precision. Every movement across the supply chain has its own biosecurity requirements, quality standards, and regulatory obligations, and a failure at any point affects the birds, the product, and the bottom line.
Unitrans Poultry provides end-to-end logistics solutions built around the specific requirements of each customer's operation. We cover day-old chick transport, egg and live chicken distribution, feed logistics, cold chain transport, warehousing, personnel transport, and supply chain visibility, across countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
One logistics partner, fully accountable across the entire operation.

Every Unitrans vehicle on the road has someone coordinating its movement. For Leighche Ogle, that's the job, and most days it comes with a challenge he hasn't faced before.
He learned by watching and asking, picking up something useful from every colleague and mentor along the way. His advice to anyone coming into the field is learn from every person around you.
His wife and two kids keep him going on the hard days. Up early, coffee in hand he focuses on what's in front of him. Discipline, he says, is what gets results.
Who in your team shows up every day and gets the job done consistently? Give them a shoutout in the comments.
Before the day begins, David Mokoena checks his PPE.
For the past two years, David has been part of our Technical Maintenance team. The work is hands-on, demanding, and every shift brings something different. For him, checking his safety gear isn’t just routine, it’s how he makes sure he gets home safely at the end of the day.
What’s the one thing you never start a shift without? Let us know in the comments.
Unitrans is widely known for trucking, but freight forwarding and customs clearing are an important part of what we do to offer end-to-end solutions for our customers.
For businesses that rely on imports and exports, documentation delays aren't a minor inconvenience. They slow down deliveries, put pressure on stock holding and cash flow, and leave customers waiting. Our system connects directly with key regulatory bodies, enabling documentation to be processed and turned around within 24 hours of vessel departure.
Our freight forwarding and customs clearing services cover road, air, and sea freight, customs clearing, cross-docking, warehousing, and specialised cargo handling, globally.
If your business moves goods across borders and you're dealing with delays or documentation bottlenecks, send us a message to find out how we can help.
We're proud to share that Liesl De Wet, our Head of Sustainability, received a Highly Commended honour in the Sustainability and Impact Champion of the Year category at the Smart Procurement Leaders Awards 2026.
Ten professionals entered that category. There was one winner and four Highly Commended recipients. Earning a place in that group is a real achievement.
The Smart Procurement Leaders Awards, hosted by Smart Procurement World, recognise the leaders shaping procurement and supply chain management across Africa. According to Debbie Tagg, CEO of Smart Procurement, procurement now influences up to two-thirds of an organisation's expenditure, and the leaders who drive that function well make a measurable difference to how businesses grow and operate responsibly.
We're proud of you, Liesl.
