People often ask what a rescue needs most. Food? Yes. Beds? Absolutely. Medical supplies? Of course.

But today we'd like to give a special shout-out to the unsung heroes of animal rescue... MOPS! 😂

When you have muddy paws, spilled water bowls, mystery puddles, and dogs who seem determined to redecorate the floors daily, a mop quickly becomes one of the most important members of the team.

So thank you, Nina, for helping keep our rescue clean, safe, and slightly less chaotic! These are just some of the essentials we desperately need on an ongoing basis, and every donation makes a huge difference.

A huge thank you to the amazing Georgina Wall for donating her fur babies bed ,very fancy puppy food and the wonderful team at Alphen Vet for the paw-some donation of beds, food, and loads of other pet goodies! 🐾

The dogs have already inspected everything . The beds are being claimed at record speed, the food is disappearing faster than we'd like to admit, and the accessories have everyone looking and feeling spoiled.

From all of us at Meg's Mutts, thank you for helping make life a little warmer, comfier, and happier for our rescue animals. We appreciate your kindness more than words (or wagging tails) can say! ❤️🐶 🐾

New to the crew 💗💗💗

This little bundle of love was found wandering all alone. At just 7 weeks old, this tiny girl was lost in a big world.

After arriving at our hospital, she was tested for all the nasties (hence the cutest little bandage you've ever seen!) and received the care she needed. Now, she's off to Megs Mutts Rescue where her journey to a brighter future can begin.

We are always incredibly grateful to organisations like Megs Mutts Rescue that open their doors and hearts to animals in need, giving them the second chances they so deserve.❤️🐾

A big thank you to Gen Nash for dropping off some much-needed towels and beds for the furries! 🐾

The dogs have already carried out a full inspection, spun around 17 times, and officially declared them "the comfiest beds ever." 😂

Safe to say the new beds are a hit, and the towels will be put to very good use. Thank you for helping keep our four-legged crew warm, cosy, and happy this winter. ❤️🐶🐱

A big thank you to the amazing Echi Ismail from Lemongrass Cooking for donating the meat for meals for Mona to prepare at the soup kitchen, and to Lynne Wynne and family for donating the rest of the dry ingredients.

Because of your kindness, we were able to put together warm, hearty meals for those who need them most. It truly takes a community to make these outreach projects possible, and we are so grateful for every bit of support.

Just a gentle reminder that the dogs need more than just food 🐾

GPeople often only think about feeding one dog… but imagine the cost of caring for a whole bunch every single day.

We constantly need things like blankets, washing powder, cleaning supplies, flea and tick treatment, puppy pads, bowls, toys on top of the food.

It all adds up so quickly but these dogs rely on us for everything 💛

Even though it’s winter, there are still so many ticks and fleas around, and keeping the dogs and cats protected is so important.
