Today we hosted our very first Men's Event, bringing together fathers, father figures, young men, and boys for an afternoon of connection, reflection, and hope.
Through meaningful conversations and creative activities, participants explored the importance of being present, leading with values, and building stronger futures for the next generation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day special.

π Birthday Celebrations at House Upon a Rock Aftercare π
At House Upon a Rock Aftercare, we don't only celebrate academic achievements β we also celebrate the special moments that make our children feel valued and loved.
This term, we had the joy of celebrating the birthdays of Alizwa, Destiny, and Nqobile. π₯³π
Today was filled with smiles, laughter, cake, and wonderful memories as we celebrated these special young people together. Seeing the children share in each other's happiness reminds us of the importance of community, friendship, and belonging.

β½ Team Building Done Differently! β½
Today our Learn2Live team headed to Paarl for a fun-filled game of Bubble Soccer!
There were plenty of laughs, a few unexpected collisions, and lots of moments where we found ourselves rolling more than running. π
While we had an amazing time, the day also reminded us of an important lesson: no one succeeds alone. Just like on the soccer field, we achieve more when we communicate, support one another, and work together towards a common goal.
Teamwork is not only about working side by side; it's about trusting each other, helping each other up when we fall, and celebrating successes together.
A big thank you to everyone who joined in, stepped out of their comfort zones, and made the day so memorable.

πΏ A Small Cup of Care β
At Learn2Live, one of our core values is to care for ourselves as we care for each other.
As we approach Corporate Wellness Week in July, we are launching our "A Small Cup of Care" campaign. Throughout June and July, we will be thanking the people, partners, and organisations who support our work while also sharing an important reminder:
π Take a moment to pause
π Take a deep breath
π Check in with yourself
π Refill your own cup
Because those who care for others deserve care too.

πΏβ Something is Brewing at Learn2Live... βπΏ
This July, we will be launching a special new campaign focused on mental wellbeing, self-care, and creating small moments of pause in our busy lives.
Over the past few weeks, our team have been hard at work preparing hundreds of little gifts filled with care, connection, and a reminder that wellbeing matters.
Sometimes the smallest thingsβa cup of tea, a deep breath, a moment of stillnessβcan make the biggest difference.
We're excited to share more with you soon and can't wait to invite our partners, supporters, and community to be part of this journey.
π Watch this space. π More details coming soon. π Because caring for others starts with caring for ourselves.

On Saturday we joined the City of Cape Town, and hundreds of ECD principals, teachers, government officials and ECD stakeholders, for the Cityβs third ECD Indaba.
"The event focused on helping ECD operators navigate the pathway to compliance through support, training, funding opportunities and guidance on safety, health, planning and environmental requirements. The City also highlighted ongoing support programmes, including roadshows, compliance drives and Development Cost Charge exemptions that have already helped several ECD centres across Cape Town move closer to compliance."
You can read more about the Indaba, and the City's work to support ECD centres, with help from the Centre for Early Childhood Development, here: https://tinyurl.com/m2kmv36b
Today marked an exciting milestone as we officially launched Project RESET in Mfuleni in partnership with Starting Chance and the Western Cape Education Department (WCED).
Following the encouraging successes we have seen through Project RESET in Kraaifontein, we are excited to bring this collaborative approach to another community. The day started with our first community meeting, where ECD principals and stakeholders gathered to learn more about the process, followed by site visits to local ECD centres.
Project RESET is about more than compliance. It is about restoring hope, strengthening ECDs, building relationships, and ensuring that young children have access to quality early learning environments.
We are grateful for the partnership and shared commitment of Starting Chance, WCED, and all the ECD practitioners who have welcomed us into their centres. We look forward to seeing the impact this partnership will bring to the children, families, and communities of Mfuleni.
Together, we can create lasting change.
