*Pitmac Philip Basson 's 6year old son in the Development Class - this young man is the future of the sport π€©
**Family combination today consisting of the master builder behind the Clio namely Ettienne Du Plessis joining his very fast daughter Hayley in the 390 Modz Class - going to be exciting to see if the older gun still has it to keep up with the young lady π
Good luck teams - be fast, be safe and most of all have fun βπ»π
It's been a challenge these last few weeks, but we finally got to the point of the engine breathing life yesterday afternoon π

Dont mind that our new race car is not done yet, certainly going to be an oval track racing event for the "books" and definitely not to be missed.
Big ππ»s to Cape Helldrivers - CHD (Official Facebook Group), National Hotrods South Africa and Killarney Racing Circuit Wpmc for arranging this event for the motorsport enthusiasts of the Western Province ππ»
Apologies for the silence of late, work responsibilities and other personal priorities have kept us very busy of late.
However a timeline of Nigel James Thorpe 's racing history has been created and content will be loaded soon with regular posts following suit...
With K*K KLEIN KAROO KAMPIOENSKAPPE 8 JULY'23 upon us, we felt it fitting to post a photo of Nigel James Thorpe 's first K*K dirt oval track racing event attendance back in 2001 π
Here we have him sitting next to the late Uncle Egon Pedersen track side whom was key to getting Nigel being apart of his first oval track racing team later that year β€οΈ
Good evening Peeps. Hope all are doing well?
Unfortunately we still have not been able to source photos of the 1st livery of the 1st oval track race team which Nigel was apart of, but we have been given photos of the times leading up to him joining the team and the car's second livery.
Keep an eye open for the history track starting soon π
We cried when you passed away, we still cry today.
Although we loved you dearly, we couldn't make you stay.
Your golden hearts stopped beating & hard working hands laid to rest.
GOD broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best...
Kill them with kindness; We shall surpass the doubters
Hi All, apologies for being silent of late as we are still trying to gather some valuable photos to kick off the history path.
Hi all, in the next coming days we will take you back in time and share with you the history of where Nigel's career in oval track racing started...
As the page's name change has finally been approved by Facebook, this page will now be used to promote the racing team as well as all the sponsors affiliated to the team.
We will be sharing as much as possible content related to the racing team; Content such as work done to the race car, race events we plan on attending, ongoing updates on race day as well as post race reports.
Content sharing of sponsors' business would be things posted by themselves personally or their business pages as well as doing live videos showcasing their businesses.
The aim of this is to brimg awareness of their business and hopefully generate return on their investments to the racing team.
We are looking forward to sharing content and all the adventures that lies ahead.
βοΈAttention followers / supportersβοΈ
As this car club has faded away over the years due to the OG members all following the circle of life and understandably making family and other more important things in life priority; we have most certainly not forgotten the heart and soul which this car club was started from...
And for this reason this page's name will be changed to "67 Racing - Forever Young" which is the racing team of founding member Nigel James Thorpe, whom has and will Forever keep JP Young within his heart, soul and days of living.
We trust that all will respect this decision made and will continue to support this page and the journey going forward.
Be blessed, keep safe and remember,
Burn Rubber, Not Your Soul βπ»
