Catch the Drift with a full day of tyre-shredding on Saturday 19 July with GHC Racing Drift Outlaws on the Half Main Circuit.

WHEN: Saturday 19 July: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Drifting calls for car control of the highest order, throwing the car into a long, sustained slide around a set course – usually in tandem with a second competitor - with the rear wheels spinning all the way. The object is for the second car to follow the leading car as closely as possible, without crashing into the leader.

Then they swop places and do it again! More than anything else, drifting is about balance between throttle, brakes and steering – all three inputs must be exactly right to keep the car on course for a perfect run and maximum points.

There will be a variety of food and drinks on sale from upmarket vendors (including halaal) who know just how to re-fuel motorsport fans – but you’re also welcome bring your cooler box and gazebo, light up your skottelbraai and make a day of it.
