Verde Vita Spa – embracing health, wellness and sustainability

Our editor recently got to visit the luxury Verde Vita Spa & Wellness Centre at Cape Town’s – and Africa’s – greenest hotel, Hotel Verde Cape Town Airport.

In its prime location close to Cape Town International Airport, the four-star hotel boasts a well-deserved 6-Star Green Star – Existing Building Performance v1 rating by the Green Building Council South Africa GBCSA, offering sustainability, luxury, and convenience for over a decade.

Hotel Verde was designed to be as ecological as possible and drives this concept through daily operational practices, including waste management, the procurement chain, and staff training.

Like the hotel, the eco spa embraces strong sustainability initiatives – including using only premium local products – and offers a range of spa and wellness treatments, including a cabin that uses infrared light to detoxify and warm the body. Spa guests have access to the natural, plant-filtered swimming pond as well as a jogging trail and outdoor gym, and can round off a pamper session with a delectably healthy lunch at the hotel’s restaurant.

Verde Vita spa has now launched a corporate wellness offering, combining on-site conferencing and restaurant facilities, if needed, with spa facilities and treatments. There’s also a convenient call-out service, rejuvenating Wellness Weekdays (with special deals for pre-booked treatments in March), and a loyalty card programme.
