Runs and Rides

Here's the trail running gear I've been enjoying for the last year or so.

I can go almost entirely head to toe in and find it all very comfy – I think I've got six of their running tops and one vest and literally do every run in one of them. Also can recommend the X-Trail hydration vest.

On the feet, I've actually only ever run in trail shoes. I've had the Sense Ride 3s, 4s, 5s, and recently and I got the brand new Genesis shoe.

Hiking Madeira's highest and third-highest peaks: Pico Ruivo and Pico do Areeiro. We started at do Areeiro and went to Ruivo and back for a ~12km round trip with ~1,000m of climbing.

The views are spectacular, as are the crowds! We started 20 minutes before sunrise and it didn't help all that much because we still had to return 😅

Our four months of travels so far have taken us to some incredible places, most of which we've managed to run and/or ride at. Blyde was a real visual highlight!
