Design and renovation of an old family home in need of an update in architectural style and interior planning.
By replacing the roofs and creating an open plan layout, we are able to maximise space and natural light throughout the house. The design aims to reuse the old laminated rafters in the form of timber pergolas and screens as defining elements on the exterior.

IReNCLAD, is the design of a new residence for Rudo Martin in Irene, Pretoria.
The house is set on a podium and responds to dolomitic soil conditions.
The material selection draws from the local context and resources with Irene stone and facebrick used for feature elements, contrasted by the steel sheeting and white bagged plaster to accentuate the different elevations.

A preview of our latest project. IReNCLAD, is the design of a new residence for Rudo Martin in Irene, Pretoria.
This southern perspective of the approach explored a combination of materials, greenery and lighting to enhance the entrance.
