Jamba Ulengo played for the Shimlas in 18 Varsity Cup games from 2010 to 2012. One of a few Shimlas who played for the Springboks & the Blitzbokke. Jamba handed a Springbok 7's jersey to the Shimlakamer tonight with the basic message to the FNB Shimlas - win or loose in the VC semi's doesn't really matter, make sure you are prepared for life after rugby. What an old Shimla!!

Blaine Golden, FNB Shimlas tight head prop who received a red card in the 68th minute of the FNB Varsity Cup match against the FNB NW Eagles (Pukke) on Monday, upon the Assistant Referee having pointed him for foul play, was found NOT guilty of foul play during a SARU disciplinary hearing on Thursday. The red card was retracted as well

Hester who cleans the Shimlakamer, the cloakrooms & the suites at Shimlapark for the past 25 years, turns 70 this year. The team had breakfast with her as special guest this morning. The club captain Charl Pretorius handed her flowers bought by the players. Dankie Hester!!
