Followers may recall I posted about Pick n Pay peanut butter being recalled a while ago. More peanut butter from other brands available at Dis-Chem Pharmacies has been added to the list due to elevated Aflatoxin levels discovered during internal standard testing.

Products affected:
🥜Dischem’s Lifestyle 400 and 800-gram Smooth and Crunchy
🥜Wazoogles Superfoods
🥜PicknPay No Name Smooth Peanut Butter
🥜Eden Smooth Peanut Butter
🥜Eden Crunch Peanut Butter

The recall only pertains to these mentioned brands, and no other peanut butter brands are affected at this point.

Customers who purchased these products are encouraged to return them to the store of purchase for a full refund.

The companies have already collaborated with the National Consumer Commission (NCC) and the Department of Health.

While Aflatoxins are naturally occurring toxins produced by specific fungi on crops like maize, peanuts, cottonseed, and tree nuts, the levels identified in Pick 'n Pay's peanut butter surpassed the established regulatory threshold.
