Love is a Commitment; Looks merely Skin Deep To their own detriment, that is. Can they make it work? Does love really conquer all?
Skin Deep is a multilingual production in English, Afrikaans and Sesotho that focuses on themes of identity and in*******al relationships. After an initially awkward first date turns into a budding romance, Eben and Nthabiseng decide to make their relationship public. As resistance flare up, they soon have to face the challenging reality of in*******al dating in a country that is still fuelled by racial politics and discrimination.

Skin Deep is at its core a show that wants to encourage people to look deeper than just our differences; to see the ways in which we are the same, and human. Ultimately that comes down to communication, the will to understand each other, empathy, kindness and love - in all its manifestations.

Characters are the vehicles through which we tell our stories. Meet Eben and Nthabiseng - they are two vastly different individuals, but at the core they are both humans, and have to deal with similar things. They are unique, yet familiar. They are the 'people' whose journey you will be following, and hopefully grow to love.
