Mentorship that goes the distance 🌍

The IWRMP 2026 (International Women in Resources Mentoring Programme) is a six‑month, cross-company mentoring programme that empowers women leaders in the resources sector to accelerate their careers and step into their full leadership potential.

This year, MetSkill Managing Director, Rebecca Sands, is mentoring Evelyn Ofori Atta, PMP, Senior Plant Metallurgist at Newmont Ahafo South in Ghana and recognised Female Mining Professional of the Year.

With over a decade of gold processing experience, Evelyn is ready for the next step in her leadership journey, and the IWRMP is designed for exactly this kind of career moment. Rebecca and Evelyn held their first meeting on 29 April, and we look forward to seeing where this journey takes them.

Our MD, , did something extraordinary this weekend!
On 26 April, she finished the Freedom Trail Race Across South Africa. 1969km from Pietermaritzburg to Wellington. Self-supported. Through mountains, valleys, thornveld, and remote farmland. No crew. No shortcuts. Just grit and determination all the way.
We would also like to give a huge shoutout to who also crossed that same tough finish line in his MetSkill kit.

Congratulations to you both. You’ve shown exactly what’s possible when you take on something hard, and why those challenges are often the most rewarding test of what we’re made of.
