It is easy to assume you just "brushed too hard" or that a little pink in the sink is fine. But in reality, bleeding is your mouth’s alarm system.

Here is what’s actually happening and how to fix it:

🔵The Cause: When plaque (that sticky film of bacteria) isn’t fully removed, it hardens and irritates your gums. This causes mild inflammation called gingivitis.

⚪️The Fix: The temptation is to stop brushing or flossing where it hurts. Do the opposite! Gentle, consistent brushing with a soft-bristled brush and daily flossing will usually clear up the bacteria and stop the bleeding within 7 to 14 days.
