🚨 ⚠️DRUGS WORTH R3 MILLION SEIZED IN KUILSRIVIER

A 29-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man are expected to appear in the Kuilsriver Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, on charges of possession and dealing in drugs following a major drug bust by the SAPS Anti-Economic Crime Task Team.

Acting on information regarding suspected drug activity at a bed and breakfast in the Langverwacht area of Kuilsriver, police conducted an operation during the early hours of Monday, 15 June 2026.

During the raid, officers seized:

🔹 51 bags containing mandrax tablets
🔹 5kg of crystal m**h
🔹 R17,000 in cash believed to be proceeds of crime

The drugs have an estimated street value of approximately R3 million.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with possession and dealing in drugs.

🚨 ⚠️HAWKS RESCUE KIDNAPPING VICTIM, THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Three suspects, aged between 28 and 41, are expected to appear before the KuGompo Magistrate’s Court on 15 June 2026 on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, and housebreaking.

The arrests follow a major breakthrough by the Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit, working alongside Provincial Crime Intelligence, in the fight against organised violent crime in the Eastern Cape.

The suspects were arrested on 13 June 2026 following an intensive investigation into a kidnapping, armed robbery, and housebreaking incident that occurred in Phakamisa, Qonce.

According to investigators, the suspects allegedly targeted the victim shortly after he had received a Road Accident Fund (RAF) payout. An intelligence-driven operation led to the successful rescue of the victim and the arrest of the suspects.

The investigation remains ongoing.

🚨A businessman was shot dead outside his shop in Jeppestown JHB yesterday afternoon.

He kneeled down to put the lock on the roller shutter door when a gunman came from behind and shot him in the back of his head. His firearm and cellphone was taken.

📍 Police officers and forensic investigators were on scene at the Cleveland informal settlement east of Johannesburg on Wednesday following the mass shooting that claimed the lives of 12 people overnight.

Authorities have launched a formal investigation into the incident, and no arrests have been made at this stage.

🚨 MAN FATALLY SHOT DURING POLICE PURSUIT IN KATLEHONG 🚨

A man was shot and killed during a police pursuit in Ramokonopi near Katlehong on the East Rand in the early hours of the morning.

According to information received, the deceased was travelling with three passengers at approximately 04:00 after allegedly dropping off a friend in Zonkizizwe when police reportedly began pursuing the vehicle.

Members attached to Zonkizizwe SAPS, Ramokonopi SAPS and Vosloorus SAPS are believed to have been involved in the chase. Multiple shots were reportedly fired during the incident, allegedly involving high-calibre fi****ms and 9mm pistols.

The driver sustained a gunshot wound and later succumbed to his injuries.

Two female passengers in the vehicle were reportedly unharmed.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation, with the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) expected to probe the incident

🚔 FOUR SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING LINKED TO FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE SCAM 🚔

Rietgat SAPS has arrested four suspects, aged between 18 and 25, in connection with a robbery and kidnapping case linked to an alleged online scam in Soshanguve.

According to police, the victim responded to a Facebook Marketplace advertisement offering mag rims for sale at R3,500. After communicating with the alleged seller, the victim was directed to a location in Block PP1, Soshanguve, to complete the transaction.

Upon arrival, the victim was approached by a young man who claimed to be connected to the seller and directed them to a second location nearby.

When they arrived at the second location, the suspect exited the vehicle, allegedly to contact the seller. Moments later, an armed suspect approached the vehicle and ordered the victim into the back seat. Three additional suspects then joined and took control of the situation.

Following investigations, SAPS Rietgat successfully arrested four suspects linked to the robbery and kidnapping.

Police have warned members of the public to exercise caution when arranging meetings with online sellers and buyers.
