It is what it is…. NOPE, not buying that anymore.

Anarchist - One who disregards laws and social norms as a form of rebellion against authority.

Designed for the misfits, the underdogs, the disruptors and free thinkers in a world that seems to have gone off the rails. The ones who search for truth and meaning, unafraid to challenge the system when it’s no longer working or making any kind of sense. Unafraid to question the norms and speak truth to power. The ones who don’t accept a broken System just because “that’s just how it’s always been done”.
Those who stand by their principles in search of solutions, even if it makes life harder. In my view, true anarchy is not unbridled chaos but the focused and ever strengthening human spirit standing firm on the ultimate battleground of right versus wrong, good versus evil.

Totally chilled vibrations

I once asked one of my best buds what he would want his spirit animal to be if he could choose it. his answer was swift and certain, “A Sea Turtle bru”. I don’t know what I was expecting, I have always liked sea turtles but it hadn’t even entered my mind as an option and it peeked my interest. “Why a sea turtle?” I blurted out, the mouth brain barrier bypassed in a split second. His answer came as swiftly as my question had “They don’t harm a thing.”. It was so non chalantly profound. Ofcourse that makes so much sense. They are the ultimate “chill bro”. Just drifting around being lekker. Lekker is a South African expression for Great, cool, fun but with more gees …. Gees is spirit/passion…aaaanyway.

I’ve never forgotten that moment, it really stuck with me because it was probably the best reason, behind the choice, I had ever heard in response to the many people I had ambushed with that question.

K cool story bro. This design is mostly inspired by that little unforgettable reaction and a creature most definitely worthy of a position in the “Respect the locals” series.

Moulded to beat the odds

South Africans are a unique mixing pot of culture, creativity, ingenuity and passion. Persistently pushing the limits making their mark on the world, irrespective of the challenges we face as a country and continent as a whole. We are “made in Africa”, born and bred of this land, and according to the dictionary this makes you a native no matter your heritage or where your ancestors came from. Defined by where we were born, bred by what we have faced and how we have overcome. This country (and continent) runs in our blood. We are forged by its challenges, we learn to solve problems and thrive no matter the odds. We are the underdogs, the risk takers, the “all in for the love of our home” kind of people. Capable of so much if we can just meet on what we can achieve together, rather than what tears us apart. If we could get that right we could be unstoppable. We need to realise we are far stronger when we are united. This design is meant as a badge of patriotic pride for those who still hold onto hope and chase the horizon.
