Please note that there will be a planned power outage for maintainance by Eskom that will affect Addo Elephant National Park, Bersheba,Moses Mabida, Enon/Bersheba, Nqweba, Town, Nomathamsanqa, Valencia & surrounding areas
This outage will take place on THURSDAY, 31 JULY 2025 from 06h00 - 18h00 (12hrs).

We apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause and urge the affected community members to prepare in advance for this period and to be cautious around electrical cables as power may return before the said time.

This outage will take place on WEDNESDAY, 09 JULY 2025 from 06h00 - 18h00 (12hrs). If, for any reason the outage doesn’t take place the alternative date is 17 July 2025.

Loadshedding remains suspended: R16.69 billion in year-on-year diesel savings achieved – ongoing high levels of planned maintenance continues

Tuesday, 25 February 2025:

Eskom is pleased to announce that loadshedding will be suspended from 5:00 AM on Wednesday, 26 February 2025.

This decision follows the successful recovery of generation capacity and significant progress in replenishing emergency reserves. Although overnight replenishment is still needed, these developments will result in a stable power system.

Ongoing planned maintenance stands at 6 660MW, in alignment with our summer period maintenance strategy. This increased level of maintenance is necessary to prepare for winter to further improve reliability and meet license and regulatory requirements.

Eskom will communicate on Friday, 28 February 2025, or as soon as any significant changes occur.
