Heart Math Tutoring

This week, Heart tutors have been busy completing orientations and onboarding, and we know everyone is very excited to meet their students next week! Volunteers will be paired with their students who they'll work with for the rest of the school year to strengthen math skills and build confidence.

Only two more weeks until tutoring begins! Volunteer orientations have started and Heart students can't wait to meet the tutors they'll be paired with this school year. We're grateful to Heart's team, students, volunteers, families, and partners for all their work getting ready for another impactful year, and we're excited to see students and tutors learning together again soon!

Heart Math Tutoring is looking for additional volunteers to support students across five elementary schools in Charleston for the 2026/27 school year!

No tutoring experience or math expertise is required, just an hour of your time each week. Every tutor is paired with a student who they'll meet with weekly, building foundational math skills and helping them feel confident back in the classroom.

Heart Math Tutoring is excited to announce our organization has been selected to receive a grant through the Trane Technologies Foundation.

Adding to their positive impact on Heart's programming in 2025/26, this continued funding from the Trane Technologies Foundation in 2026/27 will sustain Heart's work in Charlotte and help students build math proficiency and academic confidence through one-on-one, volunteer-delivered tutoring. Trane Technologies supports Heart as part of their initiative to promote access to STEM education and sustainability careers, focusing on students underrepresented in STEM fields.

Heart is grateful for this partnership and for Trane Technologies' belief in our students and our mission.
